Last week, we participated in the 2nd "Local Government Railways – Experiences and Perspectives" Conference in Krakow, which brought together over 300 participants from the railway industry. Check out what we discussed.

Our company was represented by Jerzy Woliński, President of the Management Board, and Łukasz Szaranek, Traction Vehicle Sales Director.

They participated in panels, discussions and bilateral meetings during which the current needs of carriers and opportunities for cooperation in the coming years were discussed.

Which way?

The conference focused on key challenges and directions of development of local government railways.

The discussions focused on issues related to rolling stock maintenance, technical infrastructure, financing of railway projects and the growing number of passengers in local government transport.

Priority FPS projects

During the meetings, the importance of FPS’s key implementations was emphasized, including contracts for electric multiple units for the Lubusz and Lublin Voivodeships, which, alongside the ongoing order for 300 wagons for PKP Intercity, are a priority for the company.

As FPS representatives emphasized, we hope that these projects will pave the way for further contracts of this type in other regions.

Towards the 3rd edition

The conference was organised by the Polish Chamber of Railways.

As announced, next year's third edition of the "Local Government Railways - Experiences and Perspectives" conference will be held in the Silesian Voivodeship.
