H. Cegielski – Rail Vehicle Factory in Poznań signed an Agreement for the modernization of 60 cars. The value of the contract is over PLN 273 million gross. The new cars will run, for example, on routes from Szczecin to Olsztyn or from Zielona Góra to Gdynia. They will be equipped with, among others, air conditioning and an electronic passenger information system.
The subject of the contract is the performance of periodic repairs at the 5th level of maintenance together with modernization and inspection at the 3rd level of maintenance of 60 type 111A/141A cars with the option right for another 30. After modernization, the cars will run as class 2 compartment vehicles. Passengers will benefit from comfortable seats, air conditioning, sockets, an electronic passenger information system and closed-circuit toilets. The comfort of the ride and silence inside the car will be ensured by the installation of modern bogies. In addition, cellular signal amplifiers and devices for wireless internet will be installed.
