Yesterday, the first STUKOT '56 Gala took place, inspired by the events of June 28, 1956.
Why the CLATTER?
Precisely because the heroes who took to the streets fighting for the right to bread, freedom and God, clattered their clogs in silence as they marched through the city.
We are glad that we could be part of this first edition, during which statuettes were awarded in three categories:
For God – for those who fought and deserved in the fight for religious freedom, which was received by the Redemptoris Missio Humanitarian Aid Foundation.
For freedom - for those who fought and deserved in the fight for freedom. The award in this category went to the Ukrainian and Polish Nations in the hands of the Ambassador of Ukraine in Poland, which was received by Oleh Kuts - Counselor of the Embassy of Ukraine in Poland.
Law and bread – for those who fought and deserved in the fight for the dignity of those in need, which was awarded to Jacek Polewski, a baker from Poznań.
The event is organised by the Wielkopolska Museum of Independence in cooperation with the MTP Group, H. Cegielski – Rail Vehicle Factory and the Industrial Development Agency Foundation.
The competition and the Gala were held under the honorary patronage of the Commissioner for Human Rights.
